Mission Statement

The Lincoln Elementary School  Media Center serves as a necessary tool in improving and enriching all functions of the educational process.  The school library provides its services and facilities to satisfy the information needs of the students and faculty.  The media center is involved in the teaching and learning process of students by acting as a resource center in attaining desirable lifetime intellectual habits.  The school library concentrates on, and adopts the philosophy of the school it supports.



 Students will learn and practice grade level appropriate information skills:

  • Location of fiction, non-fiction and reference materials
  • Parts of a book
  • Research techniques using online databases and resources
  • How to use the Destiny card catalog 
  • And much, much more...

Overdue Books

Students who do not return their books after receiving multiple notices will receive a message notifying their parents of the deficiency.


There is no charge for overdue/late books.

Students will be charged for the full price of a lost or damaged book in order to replace it.
