My name is Ivonne Ortiz. I have been here in Arizona for 12 years. I am from Puerto Rico, a beautiful island, married for sixteen years and we have two great children, Isai and Siloe. Isai is in 10th grade and Siloe is in 4th grade. As a mom, I know the importance to be involve with my children education. The last year I had a great opportunity to be part of this excellent team of Lincoln Elementary School as Instructor in the Family Literacy Program. I was part of this program when it started as Family Tree some years ago, but as a mother. This program not only helped me with my son, but also gave me the confidence to accomplish my personal goals. In the year 1994, I obtained my BBA in Human Resources and Business Administration. In 1997, I obtained an Master Degree in Marketing. Also, I have been working as a substitute teacher for the Mesa Public Schools in grades K – 3rd.
This is my second year as an Instructor for Adult Education at Lincoln and I have a great expectations for this new school year. I am very proud of my class and to be their teacher. The Room #51 is more than a classroom, we are a family! My motto is “Everything we can do for the benefit of our children is worth it.” I encourage you to become part of this family.
See you soon!
