It is with great pleasure and excitement that I become the new principal of Lincoln Elementary School.  I am honored to be a member of this great school community.  I am a product of the Mesa Public School District having attended Webster Elementary, Carson Jr. High, and Westwood High School.  I went on to receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

I began my career as a third grade teacher at Webster Elementary before moving to Himeji, Japan to teach English as a second language.  Upon returning to the states, I became a 2nd/3rd grade GUS teacher at Whitman Elementary.  I then transitioned into a Master teacher role through the TAP grant, working closely with students and teachers to help increase student achievement.

My decision to become an administrator comes from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community as well as the desire to help prepare students for college and career readiness. I am always thrilled to see the positive interactions between teachers and students, not only in terms of academic success, but also in terms of building confidence and developing skills for the future.

I am looking forward to working with you and our dedicated staff to ensure that your child makes the most of his/her opportunities, working hard, and enjoying their school career.  My belief systems have been formed around the ideal that when working together, the community of a school can create a meaningful experience for every child. The partnership between parents, staff and students is a key piece in supporting and encouraging students and ensuring success. Together, we can support our students to achieve their full potential.

I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Please know that my door is always open and I am always here to support you in any possible way. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to stop by or call me at (480) 472-6397.
