Biography

Hello, my name is Thelma Liszak. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. This 2014-2015 school year will be my 5th year at Lincoln. I have taught 4th/5th grade ELD Combos, 3rd grade ELD, and the last two years have taught 4th grade.

Albert Einstein said, "It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge."   I chased my childhood dream, to become a teacher. I love to teach and I love learning. My passion is to inspire and to provide the highest quality education possible for your child.

I create a welcoming learning environment for all students. I set high expectations for all my students and believe that having high expectations greatly affect student achievement. I also believe in mutual respect.

This school year writing is going to be emphasized at a high level. Students will be writing everyday. Writing will include students working on their penmanship quality, using proper grammar tense, spelling, and their writing presentation quality. Students must have knowledge of math facts by the end of the 1st quarter. Students are using new math books this year and all homework will come from their books. Reading at home at least 15 to 30 minutes each night will help students improve their reading.

I have plans for some fun engaging lessons and activities. I look forward to working with your child this school year. I know it's going to be a great year ! You may reach me at the above email or phone number if you have any questions or concerns.    Ms. Liszak
