Learning Objectives for September 2018

ELA ~ Determine the difference between the theme and main idea using key details from the story. ~ Answer questions using details from the story. ~ Determine the main idea of a text using key details from the passage, and summarize the story. ~ Determine the structure of a passage. ~ Use details from a passage to interpret information and answer questions with detailed explanation referring to the text. Math ~ Understand the relationship between multiplication & division. ~ Multiply 4 digit by 1 digit number using a veriety of strategies, including area method. ~ Multiply 2 digit by 2 digit whole number using area method. Writing ~ Write a step by step direction for Milk and Vinegar Experiment. Science ~Inquiry process: Students will observe, ask questions, and make predictions, (observations, questions, and hypotheses). They will participate in planning and conducting investigations, and recording data. They will organize and analyze data; compare the predictions, report on their analysis and conclusions. Social Studies ~ Geography: Students will be able to understand, read, and interpret maps, land forms, and Arizona's three regions.
