Biography

My name is Sonia Monnin, and I am the counselor at Lindbergh and Webster Elementary. I began my career as an educator in 1993 and I have worked in a variety of grade levels and positions.  Before becoming a counselor I worked as the Reading Dyslexia Teacher at Ramona Elementary for 10 years in El Paso, Texas.

Education:

In 1993 I received my bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas at El Paso also known as UTEP.  Then in 1998, I received my masters degree in School Counseling from Sul Ross State University.  I also had the opportunity to complete my internship at  East Point Elementary and at the El Paso Psychiatric Center.  .  

 

Counselor's Goals for the 2017-201 School Year:

My goals this year are to provide all Lindbergh and Webster Students with a comprehensive, developmental counseling program to support the personal, social, academic and career development of all students.
