Welcome to Title I at Longfellow!
My role as the Title I School Improvement Specialist at Longfellow is to support students, families, and teachers in the area of curriculum and instruction to help ensure our students grow academically and succeed. I will do this by helping teachers with curriculum and providing resources for instruction, overseeing our reading intervention program, assessing students and coordinating all testing that will take place at school.
To share a bit about myself, I moved to the west in 2001 and began college at the University of Arizona. I earned a B.S.in Elementary Education from the UofA in 2005. Since then, I have continued to take college courses in order to get an ELL endorsement as well as a reading endorsement. I received my Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration through Grand Canyon University! This is my 17th year in Mesa Public Schools!
My parents still live in New Hampshire, and I visit them as often as I can. I have one older brother who lives in California. I love to visit him and see my niece and nephews! When we are all together, we love to cheer on our favorite New England sports teams. I also enjoy traveling to new places with my family, my husband, and friends.
