Biography

Cartoon image of Mrs. Watson wavingHi there!  My name is Robin Watson and I am so excited to be starting another year as a second grade teacher at Longfellow Elementary.  I graduated from Arizona State University in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education.  In 2006 I earned a Masters in Elementary Education with a focus on Multicultural education from Northern Arizona University.

This 2020-2021 school year will be my 21st year teaching at Longfellow Elementary. I feel so lucky and blessed to have a place in this wonderful learning community.   While the learning situation this year is unique and strange for all of us, my heart, as always, is with my students.  I am excited to embark on this learning adventure with each and every one of them.

When I am not at school I love spending time with my family.  I have a wonderful, supportive husband and two boys. photo of pet hedgehog in blanket My oldest, Colton is 19.  He has graduated from high school and is working full time.   Trenton is 11, and is looking forward to starting 6th grade.  We have one family pet - a hedgehog named Dodger.  He is so sweet, but he really likes to hide under blankets. I love exercising, hiking, reading, cooking, spending time with my family, and cheering for ASU football!
