Welcome to Lowell School , a place where all our students are Stars on Broadway. We are committed to helping your child learn and grow in the coming year. STAR students come to school ready to learn and help their fellow students learn as well. We hold high expectations for all students and provide the support and practice each student needs to achieve their goals.
We're excited to work in partnership with parents. You can help your child by setting aside time each evening for homework. Even if no official homework is assigned, children should still work for about 30 minutes each night. They can practice math facts and READ. Reading skills are the greatest predictor of student academic success. Read to your child and discuss the books, or have your child read to you. Remember that practice makes permanent. We look forward to working with you. Together we will make this a great year of learning for your child.

Bienvenidos a la Escuela Primaria Lowell, un lugar donde todos los estudiantes son las Estrellas de Broadway. Estamos comprometidos en ayudar a que su hijo aprenda y crezca el próximo año escolar. Los estudiantes ESTRELLAS vienen a la escuela a aprender y a ayudar a sus compañeros. Tenemos grandes expectativas para todos los estudiantes y proveemos la ayuda y la práctica que cada estudiante necesita para alcanzar sus metas.
Estamos muy emocionados en trabajar en sociedad con los padres. Usted puede ayudar a su hijo, asignándole un tiempo para la tarea cada tarde. Aunque no tenga tarea asignada oficialmente, los niños deben estudiar por lo menos 30 minutos cada tarde. Pueden practicar matemáticas y lectura. La habilidad de leer asegura un futuro excelente para el éxito académico del estudiante. Lea a su hijo y discuta los libros ó haga que su hijo le lea! Recuerde que ésta práctica se hace permanente. SCHOOL HOURSGrades K - 6 7:40 a.m. to 2.25 p.m. Dismissal at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesdays A.M. Early Learners – 7:40 to 10:33 P.M. MELP – Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. 11:33 to 2:25 - No school on Wed. OFFICE HOURS 7:15 a.m.- 3:15 p.m. Children are not to be on the playground before 7:15 a.m. , as there is no adult supervision until that time. Students are to go directly home following dismissal. Please be sure to make pick-up arrangements ahead of time so your child knows how they are getting home. Students arriving late to school must check in through the office and receive a "tardy slip." |
