Biography

I'm proud and excited to be back at Lowell Elementary. This will be my Eighteenth year teaching. I began my teacher career in Broward County, Florida teaching 2nd grade for a few years and also a year in 5th grade. I moved to Arizona in 2003 and continued teaching at Rancho Solano Private School teaching 3rd grade, 5th - 8th grade American history and ancient history, and 2 wonderful years teaching 4th graders. I worked at their summer camp programs and was fortunate to be able to travel to Washington, D.C. with 7th graders t explore our nations capital. In 2010 I was hired to teach 6th grade a Lowell Elementary for 2 years. Wanting to teach history I moved over to Taylor Jr. High for a year teaching 7th graders. The last 3 years I continued teaching 7th grade social studies and Language Arts in the Paradise Valley School District. I missed being at Lowell teaching elementary and was fortunate to join our awesome 6th grade team for the 2016-2017 school year.

I graduated from the University of South Florida and received my teaching certification credentials at Florida Atlantic University. I am married and have two sons, one is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and the other a senior at Horizon High School.
