Halloween Parade

Dear MacArthur Families,

You are invited to come and watch our traditional Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 31st. We would like all Kindergartners - 3rd graders who choose to dress up for the parade to wear their costume to school that morning. As in the past, for student safety students are not to wear masks. In addition, School Board policy states that no simulated weapons are allowed on school campuses. Therefore, if your child's costume comes with a simulated weapon, we ask that it be left at home, thanks. We walk for a while, so please make sure your child is wearing comfortable shoes. The parade will start at approximately 8:35am. The caravan of "creepy creatures" will begin on the east sidewalk along Barkley Street. We will parade on the sidewalk outside the perimeter of the playground. Spooky spectators both big and small are welcome! By10:00am, the students will change back to their regular school clothes and return to their school day. Please send a large paper or plastic bag to school with your child on Tuesday. We will use these for costumes, projects and papers. We will dismiss at our regular time of 2:55pm.
