Welcome Letter!

Welcome to First Grade!  My name is Richelle Roth and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at MacArthur! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.  I was born and raised in sunny Arizona. Growing up, I have had many teachers who inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. So I followed that path and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a SEI Endorsement. I am very proud to be a teacher and look forward to every new year with new bright faces, ready to learn!

In addition to teaching, I got married in March 2015 to a great guy. We've been together for over 9 years and are in the process of looking for our first little home. When I am not at school, I enjoy: spending time with my family, shopping, watching movies, playing games, crafting, cooking, baking, and being creative. My husband and I love finding and playing different board games, we're pretty competitive but it is so much fun. I am so excited to learn about you!

I am looking forward to working with your child this year.  It is exciting and rewarding to be a part of the learning process.  Watching students learn and discover new skills is amazing! My priority is to provide a positive learning environment that enables each student to become a life long learner.

Thank you for all of your support! Communication between teacher and parents is very important to a child's success. Please feel free to contact me about any questions via email or phone. I can usually be reached at school between 7:30 and 3:30.
