PROGRAMS

Madison has many activities before and after school for students to participate in.

Video Club Video Club

Every Morning Madison students put the schools morning announcements on live in school TV to all the classrroms. They are responsible for setting up the set, get the equipment ready and reading the announcements. We have five crews for each day of the week. There are 6 crew members for each day. This is a year long committment because the student must be willing to come every day they are scheduled during the entire school year. Madison students have done a great job at this activity. Call 472-8835 for more information about our Video Club.

Battle of the Books Books

Each year the Media Center has a list of books that students from each grade level can read. Then at the end of the school year they have a contest to see which students remember the stories the best. We encourage the students to work in teams as that is how they are paired up during the contest.

Battle of the Books lists:

2nd Grade3rd Grade4th Grade5th & 6th Grade

Library Club Library Club

Interested fifth and sixth graders are encouraged to join the Library Club.  In this club, students assist the media center staff by checking books in and out to students, shelve books, straighten shelves, and assist in other light duties. Students who apply are placed on a schedule to work during their lunch recess one day every two weeks.  These students are a great asset to the library.  With the number of books these kids are reading at Madison, we cannot keep up without the help of our Library Club helpers.
