A Little About Me:

It is hard to believe that I am in my 12th year as a teacher (11 years at Madison)!  I retired from SRP after 25 years of service.  Throughout those years, I was an active parent volunteer at my children’s schools (including Madison), which rekindled my passion to teach.  So, I returned to college and earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  Teaching is a childhood dream come true!

I am almost a native of Arizona.  I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Arizona when I was three years old.  I am the mom of three grown sons and have three beautiful grandchildren (so far).  In addition to teaching, my husband and I own a business.

My Mission:

My experiences have taught me that all children can learn, but each learns in a different way and at different rates.  I know that with hard work and perseverance we can touch each child in a special way.  My mission is to teach, inspire, encourage, instill a love of learning, ignite the imagination, recognize the potential that every student has, accept their differences and celebrate their uniqueness.

Communication:

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send in a note with your child, email or call my direct line. During the school day you will get my voicemail. Please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.  If it is an emergency, please call the office at 480.472.8800.
