Apply for Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies
Grades 5-9

The premier Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies is accepting applications for the 2008-09 school year.

The Academy, a Mesa Public Schools campus for students in grades five through nine, is located at 6919 E. Brown Road, Mesa, on the southeast corner of Power and Brown roads. Attendance is free.
The school offers highly qualified, certified teachers and a supportive, nurturing staff. The Academy provides an academically challenging experience that prepares young people for advanced college-level courses in high school, such as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and Advanced Placement classes.

With a rigorous curriculum, students have an opportunity for in-depth learning during a structured learning day. Those who master a curricular area may accelerate to a higher level offering appropriate to age and grade. Academy students achieve superior levels of knowledge and understanding through principles of inquiry and hands-on activities.

Students will be selected for the program based on their latest report card grades, test scores on Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS), and classroom teacher letters of support.
