Administration recommends Jordan Elementary consolidation

The discussion and decision-making process is underway regarding the possible consolidation of Jordan Elementary School and proposed boundary changes for the students.

District administration has recommended that, beginning with the 2008-09 school year, Jordan Elementary no longer be a traditional neighborhood school and that students be reassigned to Frost or Pomeroy elementaries because of declining enrollment.

The district's Planning and Boundary Design Advisory Committee conducted a meeting to gather information on the proposal. Further information and developments, such as PABDAC's recommendation, will be posted on Jordan Elementary's Web site, www.mpsaz.org/jordan .
