To register students at Mendoza , please bring the student's birth certificate, current immunization record and proof of residency. What do I need to do if my child is ill or otherwise cannot attend school? Top of Page Call the Mendoza Attendance Clerk at 480-472-1954 (this number is available 24-hours a day) and report the absence with the following details: Child's Name, Teacher Name, Room Number, Reason for Absence How may I contact my child's teacher? During regular school hours you may leave a voice mail, and the teacher will return your call when the school day is over. Calls are not permitted into classrooms during times of instruction. School Lunches: What is the cost, and how do we pay? Top of PageThe cost of lunch is $1.60 and includes a main entree and milk. Each child will have an individual account so that you can pay in advance by cash or by check, in any amount. The cafeteria can be contacted by dialing 472-1964. Where can I find lost items? Top of Page If your child loses an article of clothing, school materials, a lunch box or other possessions, please check the lost and found table located right inside the front gates. It’s a good idea to label personal possessions so that we may easily locate the owner. Unclaimed items are donated to local charities periodically. Can I leave messages for my child? Top of Page Please make sure your children have their after school instructions before they leave home in the morning. We cannot guarantee messages will get relayed and interrupting classrooms with messages is very disruptive.
