Kindergarten Learn More... Pre-Kindergarten
Classes: (Click) Pre-Kindergarten classes: Community Education is serving even the youngest residents of Mesa in 2006-07. Certified teachers work with children along with an Instructional Assistant. The 4-day program includes the 2-day goals (the acquisition of developmental skills (cutting, pasting, tracing, coloring, listening, and following directions) and assessment of academic skills (counting and recognition of shapes, name and colors), review of those concepts, science experiments, manipulation and creative art projects, music and creative drama, large and small muscle coordination and an opportunity to spend individual time to work with children on specific needs. A minimum of 17 children must enroll in order for this program to be placed at a school site. The program will cover the core curriculum, including an array of activities which elaborate on science, art techniques, holiday fun, and additional language development. Individual, small and large group activities are planned accordingly. A minimum of 18 children is required for this program to be placed at a school site. Hours are 8:15-9:45 and 10 to 11:30. |
