Students at Mendoza may participate in music in many ways. All students receive a General Music class once a week. This is a movement based class that explores the basics of music. For more information on the General Music Curriculum, please visit the district's music web page by clicking on MUSIC. Once students become fourth graders, they are allowed to participate in Orchestra and may continue with the orchestra through high school. In fifth grade, students are allowed to participate in the Band. Both band and orchestra are pullout programs at Mendoza which means that the students who choose to participate in this activity are taken out of their regular classrooms twice a week for a half hour. The school also offers an after school chorus and an annual school musical.  |
