Welcome to 4th grade with Ms. Chucri! I worked at Wilson from 1999 -2018. Wilson was a wonderful place to work. Now I am at Mendoza and I am SO EXCITED to be here.  I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. I was the Site Director for the Kids Corner Program for 8 years before I started teaching, so I have worked with all ages of children and I just LOVE it.

I earned my BA degree at Ottawa University and continued my education through NAU and received my ESL endorsement as well as my Masters in Multicultural Education.

I am a true Native. I enjoy spending my free time talking and laughing with my friends and  family. I enjoy writing poetry and just writing itself. I enjoy going to the movies and out dancing when I have the chance.

I am  looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child. I love teaching. Helping a child achieve their goals and help them to succeed is a gift to me. When I see a student get excited because something "clicks" and he/she starts solving the problems one after another, that's what brings a smile to my face.

The students in my room become like a little "family", because we all work together.  The students in my class help me make the rules and consequences for our classroom. We work as a team. We establish a working environment and  acceptance in our classroom by knowing what is expected together. When the  students are comfortable with the setting they are able to comprehend what is being taught in the classroom. I want my students to wake up in the morning excited to come to school and learn. A happy environment is a successful one. The number one rule in our classroom is "Treat others the way we want to be treated." If we can remember to do this on a daily basis everything runs very smoothly in our room. :)

Please feel free to contact me by email or by  phone to discuss any concerns you may have. Communication is the key to have me help your child any way I can or to answer  any of your questions.

Thank you for all you do,

Ms. Chucri
