Students are selected by faculty and staff and will be treated to a lunch with their nominating teacher and principal and receive special recognition. Students are chosen for any of the following:
- Improvement in or good grades
- Good attendance or improvement in attendance
- Character through compassion, honesty, trustworthiness, optimism and loyalty
- Behavior and self-control
- Attitude toward others/learning
- Good citizenship or improvement in citizenship
- Leadership and integrity
- Demonstrates responsibility
- Respectful to peers and teachers

Mesa High School HOSA is proud to announce that they are home to the Region 3 Arizona Vice President for Arizona HOSA. Congratulations to senior, Amor Sanchez on her election as a state officer for Arizona HOSA. We thank Amor for her committment and willingness to serve her fellow HOSA members as Mesa Public Schools' first state HOSA officer.

Congratulations to Nicole Galindo, Mesa High School Guidance Counselor and Hispanic leader. This award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with Univision Radio-Phoenix and Valle del Sol, was given to diverse leaders from across the State. These leaders were chosen based on a comprehensive evaluation of their impact on community and excellence in leadership and represent corporate, healthcare, government, non-profit and arts & culture sectors across Arizona.
