Mrs. Audrey Norris
Office Hours: Monday afternoon from 3:15 - 3:45 and Tuesday morning from 7:30 - 8:00
Welcome to Mrs. Norris' class!! This will be my 22nd year of teaching; the first 14 years were at the alternative schools and the last 7 were all here at Mesa High! This is definitely where I will stay - I absolutely love it! I have always taught math and really enjoy it. My students have told me several times that I make math easy for them, which I consider to be the best compliment ever!
I was born and raised in Minnesota (go Vikings!) and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a degree in psychology. Then after moving to Arizona, I went to the University of Phoenix and received my post-baccalaureate in education. I then earned my Masters degree in education from Northern Arizona University.
I have been married for 18 years and have a 15 year-old daughter named Olivia who is amazing!! She is a sophomore at Mesquite High. You will hear more about her throughout the year!
I have one important rule in my class and it is quite simple - "Follow the Golden Rule"; this simply means treat others how you would like to be treated. This has always been my philosophy and it will never change. Every day is a new day in my class and you start each day with a clean slate; whatever happened yesterday is in the past and we move forward from there. Just remember to always be kind to your neighbor, be willing to put forth some effort to learn and you will do great in my class! I will be there to help you every step of the way!
