Biography

My husband and I

I completed my student teaching at Mesa High during the Spring/2014 semester, and loved it so much that I decided to apply for a position here.  I had the privilege of serving underneath the guidance of two veteran teachers at Mesa High who inspired me to greatness, and instilled in me a love for this school (Janette Kasl & Judy Cotter).  I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History in May, 2014.  My experience includes several internships in seventh and eighth grade social study classes, and World History on the high school level.  I spent my student teaching in an American History class, and currently I teach three sections of American Government and one section of American History.

When I am not teaching I am busy tending to the needs of my five children ranging in the ages of seven to eighteen years old.  I have been married for over twenty years, and live within the Mesa High boundaries - so my older children attend Mesa High.  It has been a long desire of mine to teach, and I feel so grateful to be living out that dream here at Mesa High!
