This is my fifth year of teaching at Mesa High. I recently retired from 40 years of working on General Motors products at a local Chevrolet Dealership as a Heavy Line Technician. I have lived with my family in the Mesa High community for the last 32 years and four of my children are MHS Graduates with the youngest being a Senior this year. I have been very involved in the community with educational issues and served on the Mesa Schools Governing Board From 2006 to 2010. Currently I am serving on the Governing Board EVIT. I am a Graduate of the Mesa Leadership Training and Development, Class of 2003. I have also served on the Mesa Community College Commission for Excellence in Education and the Arizona State Department of Educations' Parent Advisory Council. During 2010 I served on the Arizona School Board Associations Federal Relations Committee, lobbying the Congress for Educational Issues.
This year I will be teaching Automotive Technology I, II & III. There will be instruction and hands on experiences with up to date content and service procedures. The goal of this program is for student who successfully complete all three years will be eligible to test and become ASE Certified. I am looking forward to an exciting and fulfilling year with my students and would welcome any contact or interaction with parents or interested members of the community.
