Room 31-We're Baaack!
I received a B.S. in Chemistry from Cal. State University, East Bay in 1992. I also received a M.A. in Chemistry from University of Arizona in 1995.
After many years of teaching high school in both Tucson and Phoenix, I have been a teacher at Mesa High since 2008. Currently, I teach SC-71 General Chemistry for Periods 1,3,4,6, and 7. My planning is during Period 2. If you need to contact me, you may reach me by phone or by email.
This course is now being taught in person. In order to be successful in the course, it is necessary to bring in a class notebook and your school computer. A calculator is also highly recommended to complete the assignments for the course.
Completing labwork will also be an important part of the grade for this course. If you are absent during a day that we have a lab in course, you have one week to make up labs for my course, otherwise, you will not recceive credit for the lab. It is also a requirement to wear goggles for the lab. Used lab googles will be provided; however, if you would like your own pair, you may do so at the school bookstore for a modest cost. Please review the course syllabus for more information about the course.
I am looking forward to getting to know you this school year! Let's make it a great school year!.
