“It isn't what we say or think that defines us, but what we do.”
- Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility

I was born and raised in Mesa, the youngest of five, and I come from a family of proud Jackrabbit alumni! I, however, graduated from Heritage Academy in 2005, then attended Arizona State University from 2005-2009. From August to December 2009 I completed my student teaching with Lorelei Barker here at Mesa High, teaching AA Sophomore and Junior English. In December of 2009 I graduated Cum Laude from the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education with a BA in Secondary Education: English. I recently graduated with my Master's Degree in English through Northern Arizona University.

After college, I took the opportunity to serve a volunteer mission for my church in the beautiful country of Jamaica. For 18 months, I traveled the Caribbean and had the opportunity to teach beginning reading and literacy to adults, as well as English as a second language to many immigrants from Haiti. I returned from my mission in October 2011 and quickly obtained a teaching position here at Mesa. I am a Link Crew Coordinator, and I currently teach Junior and Senior English. I look forward to helping each student that enters my classroom succeed in every aspect of their life. Go Jackrabbits!
