Biography

This is my fourth year teaching at Mesa High School: I attended Scott L. Libby Elementary, Western Sky Middle School, and Agua Fria High School where I graduated in 1999.

After graduation, I attended Arizona State University where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, I then continued at Arizona State University where I obtained my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education.

I started teaching general science in Glendale many years ago. While I was teaching, I was a member of AmeriCorps and Teach for America. Upon completion of my two-year teaching commitment I went on to graduate from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Academy and became a police officer.

I left the department in October of 2018 and returned to teaching as a long-term substitute at Mesa High School where I taught General Science and Biology.

After the 2017-2018 school year I was offered and accepted a position as a full-time faculty member teaching Physical Science, Biology, and Environmental Science.

I have a passion for learning and will work tirelessly to ensure my students are prepared after graduation to be productive citizens in society as well as be prepared for college or any career opportunities they may pursue.
