My name is Katie Masterson, and this is my fifth year of teaching (my third year at Mesa
High School; go Jackrabbits!). I grew up in the Mesa Public School district, and after graduating from Mountain View, I then continued my education at Arizona State University. In 2013, I graduated from ASU as a Moeur award recipient (graduated within 4 years with a 4.0 G.P.A.) and with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education-Mathematics. For the first two years of my teaching career, I taught at Desert Ridge High School, but I have always wanted the opportunity to work for the district and community I grew up in. I look forward to this school year and working with my Geometry and Honors Algebra II students.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending my time with my husband and family.

If a student would like to get tutoring in the morning or during “A” lunch (except Wednesdays), go to room 817. If a student would like to come in for tutoring from me and I do not have a professional obligation to attend such as a meeting, I am normally available during “B” lunch or after school until about 3:30 in room 609. In addition, Mesa High offers tutoring in the library every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 until 6.
