Coach Fonseca has been in education for the past 12 years as an educator and coach at both the high school and collegiate level. Ms. Fonseca completed her bachelors degree from Hendrix College in Kinesiology and Education where she competed in basketball and softball for the Warriors.
Coach Fonseca then taught and coached varsity girl's basketball in the valley for nine years at both Copper Canyon and Tonopah Valley High schools respectively. She has taught almost every class in the physical education setting from physical education, weight training, sports conditioning, anatomy and exercise science to adaptive physical education. During this time she earned a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration form Concordia University Irvine.
Ms. Fonseca then spent three years coaching Women's Basketball at the collegiate level before returning to the valley to teach and coach at Mesa High School. She loves competition and all sports and still competes in many of them when she has time.
Coach Fonseca is a member of many professional organizations including the WBCA and Women Leaders in College Sports.
