Biography

Biology is one of my passions.  After being successful in high school but struggling in college, I realized how underprepared I was after graduating high school.  When I decided to become a high school teacher, my main goal was to help students become well prepared to be successful in college.  In order for students to be successful in life, they need to know how to think critically and solve problems.  I happen to use science as the tool to teach and practice these skills.

I graduated in 2000 from ASU with a BS in Secondary Education and majoring in Biology.  I just graduated from the University of Arizona with a Masters in Biology.  I have been teaching in MPS for 9.5 years and at Mesa High for 7 years.  I love teaching and seeing the students enjoy learning new information.
