Biography

I graduated Cibola High School in Yuma, AZ in 1995 and then went to Northern Arizona University.  I graduated NAU in 1999 with a dual Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education K-8 and Special Education K-12.  I also received my Master's degree in 2006 from NAU in Multicultural/ Bilingual Education with an emphasis in English as a Second Language.

This is my 18th year teaching and 2nd year at the high school level.  This is also my 2nd year in the Mesa Public School District.

I have taught special education at Broadmor Elementary School, in Tempe, kindergarten through 5th grade for 6 1/2 years.  I then, taught special education at Gililland Middle School, in Tempe, 6th through 8th grades for the last 9 1/2 years.

I have been part of the Mesa High family since 2010 as a step-parent to two Jackrabbits. Last school, I was mainly an Inclusion teacher, having taught study skills second semester.  I am very much looking forward to teaching English this year.
