Mr. Michael Baser
Go to Canvas for details about the courses I teach.
I have taught at Mesa High since 1996. There is no place I would rather be. I have taught American History, U.S. Government, Student Council, Advanced Placement U.S. Government and Politics, Junior AVID, Senior AVID and a blended AP Gov/AP Macro Econ class. Currently I teach 2 sections of AP Government, 1 section of Junior AVID, and one section of American Government. I have been the the Social Studies Department Chair for the last 14 years. Teaching gives me a great deal of joy. The students at Mesa High are wonderful and I consider myself lucky for the opportunity to teach and learn with them. Parents and students should feel free to contact me by email or telephone at any time.
As the subjects I teach may suggest, I am very interested in government and politics. Some websites I find helpful are listen below. They are hot links so click and browse. Some of them are fun as well as interesting.
On a personal note; I am married and between my wife and I we have five children and 8 grandchildren. I have had the pleasure of having four of our children as my students..
The photo below is of my beautiful wife and I in Alaska. Yes, it was July several years ago and she is even prettier now.
