Biography

Hello,

My name is Nelson Medina and I am a Welder!!!

I started welding at a mesa public high school, as a student feel in love with the cool looking, hot to touch feel of the molten metal. After high school I when to Mesa Community College (MCC) and finished their welding program then completed a bachelor’s degree as Arizona State University (ASU) in the field of material joining and manufacturing engineering technology.  All through my college years and after I have work in many different welding companies. I have more than 10 years of work experience as a welder. When working in the welding field I started teaching welding at MCC. I feel in love with teaching the advanced MIG and TIG classes.

After teaching at MCC I got hired by Mesa high school. I have been teaching at Mesa High School for a couple of year now and I have been having so much fun. I have helped the Mesa high welding club join in for the first time, into welding competitions and have help student get industrial welding certifications.  I have so much pride for my students at mesa and I hope I can continue helping the achieve their welding goals. As for me I do both things that I love welding making things and helping students learn about welding.  I hope that I will be able to continue teaching here at the awesome school of Mesa High School.
