Biography

I have been at Mesa High School since 2010. Prior to teaching and counseling, I spent over 18 years in a variety of corporate marketing environments and positions. This year, after completing my Master's program in Guidance Counseling, I have transitioned from the classroom to our school's student advisement team. I am honored to work with such an experienced and knowledgeable staff of student advisors. I am also grateful that I am able to continue my career in education serving the students and community of Mesa High School.

What I find most rewarding about student advisement is the opportunity to have a positive and guiding influence over the young people that pass through my door. As they continue their journey of discovery, I have the privilege to be a part of that discovery as they navigate the somewhat and sometimes turbulent paths they choose on their way to being perhpas the next Einstein, Edison or Zuckerberg (co-creator of Facebook).

As a father of three fantastic children (including twin girls and an aspiring 17 year old Political Analyst, currently an MPS student), I also see the importance a well rounded quality education plays in their social, academic and intellectual development and am proud to be a part of an educational system that provides that type of quality.

As you might have guessed, I am also an avid Rocky Balboa fan. Here's one of my favorite Rocky quotes. "It ain't about how hard you can hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" Rock on Mesa High students, you are awesome!
