Welcome Jackrabbits! I am so excited to partner with you and your student for this exciting school year!

My name is Yvette Christiansen. This will be my twelfth-year teaching and my second year at Mesa High! I was born and raised in Mesa. I attended Redbird, Powell and graduated from Dobson. I live in Gilbert, but to me Mesa will always be my home!

My family is my first priority. My husband and I have been married for over 16 years. Together, we have 3 beautiful daughters, two dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon.

In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where students feel safe to take chances and be themselves. As a mother of a child with a disability, I only want to see my students reach their full potential and develop a stronger independence. I hold high expectations for each of my students and work hard to have them believe in themselves like I do! I feel honored that you trust me in fostering your child’s education and it is my promise to always do my best and expect no less than I would expect from my own child. Most of all, I want my students to have fun, enjoy their time in my class and develop friendships amongst their peers.

Parents play the most important role in a child’s education, so I want you to feel free to contact me at any time. Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions, or concerns. I ask that you please be patient and understanding while we embark on this new endeavor with remote learning. We are in this together! Thank you for all you do!

Carry On!
