Mr.Sutherland received his B.S. in Education with Special Ed/Physical Ed dual major at Northern Arizona University. He received his Masters in Education Leadership, as well as his Masters in Counseling from ASU. Mr. Sutherland began his teaching career at Mesa Junior High teaching Special Ed and P.E for two years, and taught at Westwood six years in Special Ed and P.E. Mr. Sutherland then took 11 years out of education to do custom homebuilding, but returned to Mesa High School as a counselor for the past 16 years, where he thoroughly enjoys working with the kids. His hobbies include woodworking, building, horses, camping, and hiking.
