Bio Ms. Leonard has been an educator since
graduating with a B.S. in Education from Eastern Illinois University in
1973. She first came to Mesa High as a member of the Math Department in
1991. She served as the department chair for eight years. Since earning
a Masters in Counseling Degree in 2003, she decided that she could support
and encourage her students outside of the classroom. Ms. Leonard felt
fortunate to be able to stay at Mesa High and move to the counseling department
in 2004. In addition to classroom and counseling duties, Ms. Leonard has
been a member of the school’s Leadership team, a Team Leader on
the North Central Accreditation Steering Committee, and a voting member
of SIAC (School Improvement Advisory Council). Ms. Leonard currently is
Co-Coordinator of AIMS testing, and an AVID counselor. She also oversees
the Hoops of Learning Program, Student Aides and is a member of the Employment
Involvement Team. |
