Mesa Public Schools adheres to the philosophy that student services are an essential and integral part of the overall educational process. 

Student Support Services-Guidance and Counseling Department incorporates several different programs and departments which all work together to support academic achievement. 

The Guidance and Counseling Department includes:

• Prevention Programs
• Native American Education Program (NAEP)
• Mesa Career Services
• Elementary School Counseling
• Secondary School Counseling
• Diversity Programs
• Homebound
• Dropout Prevention

We also work with other departments on career readiness initiatives and non-emergency school crisis response and emergency management.
