The district has a review process for flyers that an organization requests for distributions to more than one school. Information and a request form are available at the link below. The forms are reviewed by Kathy Bareiss in Community Relations to see if they follow district policy.

This process assists principals and ensures that distribution practices remain consistent throughout the district. Distribution of flyers to a single school may be approved by the school principal unless the principal chooses to have a district review for compliance with policy.
There are two Governing Board policies regarding flyers:
One focuses upon school-related organizations such as parent groups, government partners like the City of Mesa, or business partners including a fundraising vendor that has been approved by the school. (Policy KB, p. 837.)
The second policy extends to non-profit organizations such as Scouts, soccer, Little League and other youth groups. These groups must add a “disclaimer” that is noted in the instructions. They must also be non-profit and promote an event that is youth-oriented. (Policy KI, p. 881.)
