Migrating Calendars from Outlook 2007
Outlook 2007 allows you to save a calendar as an iCal-formatted (.ics) file. This is a standard file format that MPSConnect can read and import.
Part A: Export from Outlook 2007
|1.||Open Outlook 2007.|
|2.||Select the calendar you wish to export by clicking on the appropriate calendar tab.|
|3.||Open the File menu, and choose "Save As..."|
|4.||Navigate to a location on your computer that you will remember. This is where you will be saving the iCal file. The desktop is a good place to save this file.|
|5.||Under "Save as Type", choose the "iCalendar Format" option, then click "More Options..."|
|6.||Under "Date Range", select "Whole calendar". Under "Detail", choose "Full Details". Check "Include detais of items marked private". Hit "OK".|
Part B: Import into MPSConnect
Before you import your calendar into MPSConnect, decide which MPSCalendar you will be importing your data into. Depending on how your keep your calendars organized, you may want to import into your primary MPSConnect calendar (firstname.lastname@example.org), import into another existing calendar, or create a new calendar. If you need help creating a calendar, see the help topic on Calendar creation.
Login to MPSConnect, and view your calendar.
If you are importing into a new calendar, click "Create" under "My Calendars" in the sidebar.
|2.||Under "Other Calendars' in the sidebar, choose "Add" and click "Import calendar".|
|3.||Browse your computer to locate and select the iCalendar (*.ics) file created by Outlook.|
|4.||Choose which MPSConnect calendar you will import this calendar into, and click "Import".|
Your Outlook calendar events will now appear in the MPSConnect calendar you chose to import into.
You may repeat this process multiple times for as many Outlook calendars as you wish to export.
