  • Discuss the history and purpose of Empty Bowls.
  • Research hunger in the community and the world.
  • Ask students to skip two meals in order to feel hunger.
  • Form committees and assign responsibilities.
  • Teach students to make the bowls, how to make phone calls, and how to cook and serve the food.
  • Discuss how to sell tickets and collect the money.
  • Decide what agency will receive the proceeds.
  • Plan and practice the entertainment for event.
