General Guidelines
These criteria will be directly related to competitive experience and performance.
Non-competitors will not have the opportunity to earn letters. Concerns regarding
special circumstances should be addressed to the coach. Exceptions will only
be granted by the coach, and are at the sole discretion of the coach.
Specific Guidelines
A competitor must:
• Earn an award of “Distinction” through the National Forensic
League (points earned through competition)
• Compete in at least three (3) tournaments per semester
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
OR a competitor can:
• Earn an award of “Special Distinction” through the National
Forensic League
• Take 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in any event at the State Tournament
• Qualify for the NFL National Tournament
