Mountain View High School is located in Mesa, Arizona.  The Toros compete at the 5A, Division I level and are members of the East Valley Region.  The goal of the program is to provide sound training for distance runners and to instill the love of distance running into our student athletes, as well as producing fine citizens within our community.  The phrase student athlete is stressed above all others.  The word student comes first for a reason.

The academic and athletic achievments of the Toro Cross Country program are second to none.  The Toros have a rich tradition of distance excellence in the state of Arizona dating back to 1976 when the school opened.  The Toros have been crowned State Champions twice, once in 1987 and again in 2004.  The Toros have been State Runner-Up four times, 1986, 1999, 2001, & 2003.

In total, Mountain View High School has won 61 State Championships and 55 State Runner-Up trophies during the 30 plus year history of the school which clearly makes Toro Nation the "Campus of Champions".
