The Toros finish 8th at 2012 State Tournament with 75 points.  State Placewinners include State Champion Octavio Penunuri (sr 126), State Runner-up Seth Monty (jr 145), 5th place Cayman Nielson (soph 132), and 5th place Blake Monty (Frosh 138).  

The Toros had four other wrestlers score points at the State Tournament.  Grant Huber (jr 160), Steven Mason (jr 152), Masi Uasike (jr 285), and Oscar Overley (jr 220).

East Valley Wrestling Club starts this Thursday as the club competes in spring/summer tournaments almost every Saturday. Wrestlers gain a lot of experience in these tournaments.  Next Saturdays tournament is at San Manuel HS.   Wrestlers need an USA Wrestling Card that costs $35. visit www.themat.com to purchase membership card.  The cost for the club is $150 for the whole spring and summer.  Make sure you come to practiced do not let money come in the way, talk to Coach Callison about economic circumstances and we will work out something so all who want to wrestle will be able to.  The High School group will practice 7:15-8:45 Mon, Tues, and Thurs.  This is a time to work on techniqueand gain experience for next season.
