The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Career Exploration Program is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is designed to help all students learn more about themselves and the world of work. Stop in the Career Center to sign up.

FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid
If your student is planning to attend college next year, the 2019-2020 FAFSA opens on October 1st!
FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and can help your student obtain money towards his or her college tuition. Come to Mountain View's FAFSA Night where financial aid experts from Mesa Community College and Arizona State University will help students and families complete the FAFSA. The workshop will be on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6:00-7:30pm. in the library. Please have your student bring their laptop or bring your own, along with your 2017 taxes and W-2s.

Are you familiar with the Mountain View Student Advisement website? Information is available for both parents and students. There are links for homework help, timelines for each grade, resources. One resource that has many facets to it is the Khan Academy. It not only has homework help, but free SAT prep help as well.

Each of the representatives will be here to give important updates to their application process, talk about how to pay for college, and so much more. Even if your family has had students attend any of these schools in the past please come and hear new information. There are many exciting new things happening at each of our in state schools, new scholarships, new ways to pay for college."
