Welcome to the beginning of another school year at Mountain View High School. The following is some valuable information regarding completion of the student registration process for the 2019-20 school year. The first day of class is Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Student schedules will be available through their portal July 22. THE REQUIRED REGISTRATION AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION WILL HAVE TO BE COMPLETED THE DAY BEFORE YOUR STUDENT CAN PICK UP HIS/HER DEVICE. The District system updates nightly, therefore if you have not completed registration the day before our records will not be accurate and will show registration is not completed.

WHAT GRADE WILL MY CHILD BE IN FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR?
Mesa Public Schools is committed to supporting students to graduate on time and ready for college and career. A student’s grade level reflects credits earned to be on track for graduation. Here are the criteria:
CREDITS EARNED GRADE LEVEL
0 – 4.5 = 9TH
5.0 – 10.5 = 10TH
11.0 – 15.5 = 11TH
16.0 + = 12TH
When you complete the re-enrollment process, you will see your child’s 2019-2020 grade level. If your child is behind in credits, you can work with your child’s counselor to discuss how to get back on track for graduation.
First Step. Go to Parent Portal and complete the following:

- Address, Email, and Phone Changes: It is very important that you let us know if you have a new physical address, phone number, or email address. Proof of residence must be provided (i.e. utility bill, lease/rental papers, etc.). You can link the supporting document with the form or you can bring these supporting documents to the office Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., fax them to 480-272-6983, mail them to Mountain View High, 2700 East Brown Road, Mesa, AZ, 85213, or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Computers are available for parents at the school for anyone without access to a computer at home. Please check in at the office during regular business hours. Non custodial parents (i.e., step parents without custody) will not be able to complete the online process. If you do not have a parent portal, please bring ID to attendance.
*If you have moved, please call registration at 480-472-6948 and make sure your phone numbers are up to date, voicemail set up, and mailbox empty so you can receive communications.

Optional Forms To Return
You can bring these documents to the office Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., fax them to 480-472-6983, mail them to Mountain View High, 2700 East Brown Road, Mesa, AZ, 85213, or email them to email@example.com. All forms are fillable, but will need to be printed and received by the school in one of the above-mentioned methods. Student schedules will be available through the portal July 22.
Distribution of Student I.D.’s and Devices
·T THE REQUIRED REGISTRATION AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION WILL HAVE TO BE COMPLETED THE DAY BEFORE YOUR STUDENT CAN PICK UP HIS/HER DEVICE. Please also print, sign, and bring in a copy of the Technology Device User Agreement in order to pick up your device.
The Device Protection Plan(DDP) is optional.
If you buy an activity card, you must take your ID to the bookstore to get it changed to reflect activity.

Thursday, July 25 Anyone who cannot come during the day 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday, July 26 Last name beginning O - Z 8 to 11:30 a.m. & 1 to 4 p.m.
Monday, July 29 Anyone who did not come the prior week 1 to 6 p.m.

Distribution of Parking Stickers
Only students with parking permits are allowed to park in any student authorized parking spots. Parking stickers for senior and junior students who fill out and complete the application with all additional documentation will be distributed on Friday, August 2, and Monday, August 5, in the South lot of the bus loading area from 6 to 10 a.m.
First Day of School
First hour will begin at 8:15 a.m. A Hour begins at 7:15 a.m. Bring your device with you to school. You will not be given a copy of your schedule. If you want a paper copy of your schedule, print one off from your portal.
Please join us for Mountain View High's annual Open House on Tuesday, August 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. You will have the opportunity to follow your student's schedule, meet teachers, and learn about each subject your student is enrolled in.
