Welcome to my home page. I am excited to teach German Level 1, 2, 3, 4/AP German, and French 1 here at Mountain View High School. Foreign languages and I go a long way back: to my German forefathers (my birthplace is Hamburg, Germany)! Formally I began studying German at Elementary School in Austria, where I completed most of my formative education. I continued studying German and French for my undergraduate BA(Hons) degree in Great Britain. I taught European languages in a further education college and worked as a foreign language translator and copy editor in the publishing industry. I hold dual High School teaching certificates in French and German, and I am highly qualified to teach both subjects in Arizona.

Having spend my childhood and schooling in Europe, I had lots of opportunity for travel (my passion!). Besides living in German speaking countries such as Austria and Germany, I lived, worked, and studied in Great Britain, France, and North Africa. I believe there is no better way to learn a language than living and working among native speakers.

This is my 13th year teaching world languages in Arizona. Prior to working for Mesa Public Schools, I taught three years at Gilbert High School and at a Community College in the United Kingdom.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding the German and French courses offered at Mountain View High School.

The following is my schedule for the 2018/19 school year:

First Hour-German 2
Second Hour-German 1
Third Hour-German 1

Fourth Hour-Prep Hour
Fifth Hour- German 3/AP German
Sixth Hour-French 1

I am available for tutoring daily during Toro Time Lunch.
