Mountain View TorosBiography

I am an Arizona native, growing up in the small mining town of Globe/Miami. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, and a Masters of Education in Educational Counseling from University of Phoenix. I recently completed my Educational Specialist Degree through Grand Canyon University, and I am currently working on my dissertation for my Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Higher Learning from Grand Canyon University.

This is currently my 24th year in Education. I began my teaching career in Globe Az. at Globe Jr. High where I taught girls 7th/8th grade physical education and skills for adolescents. I co-chaired student council, and coached 7th/8th grade volleyball and softball. I was also the Athletic Director. I moved to Gilbert, Az. to teach 4th grade general studies for one year, then moved back in to the Jr. High realm at Gilbert Jr. High. Here I taught 7th/8th grade physical education, skills for adolescents, and 8th grade social studies; I also coached 7th/8th grade volleyball and track while at Gilbert Jr. High. I then move into the Counseling position at Gilbert Jr. High. My last two years with GPS were spent at the alternative high school before moving to Mountain View.

I am the Student Advisor for Students whose last names start with PO-SQ
