I am currently in my tenth year of teaching and am starting my fourth year as a member of the Toro Performing Arts Department.
I earned my Bachelor of Music Education degree from Central Michigan University in 2006. While at CMU, I sang with the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, and, in 2004, toured with the CMU festival chorus to Carnegie Hall to perform Vaughan William’s Dona Nobis Pacem under the direction of Dr. Nina Nash-Robertson. I also served as an accompanist for solo vocalists and instrumentalists in recitals and master classes as well as accompanying all of the major choral ensembles on the campus of CMU.
Since arriving in Arizona in 2007, I have served as a public school music teacher. I hold professional affiliations with the American Choral Directors Association as well as the Arizona Music Educators Association. I have served the AzMEA as a sightreading adjudicator for both the regional and all state choral auditions. I have served AzACDA as the Cantaremos Honors Choir Chair and as Junior High/Middle School R & S Chair. Currently, I am the vice president of All State Jazz and Show Activities for the Arizona Choral Educators.
Most recently, I have completed my Master of Music Education Degree from Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude.
I have served various churches as assistant choir director, principal accompanist, handbell choir director, and organist. Currently I work with the Phoenix Boys Chorus and teach private voice and piano in my home studio entitled Grace Note Studios.
I currently reside in Mesa with my wife, son, and daughter, and baby to be.
