Mr. Todd Roberts
My phone at Mt. View: (480) 472-7135
I received my Bachelors Degree from the State University of New York at Brockport, with majors in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Political Science. My Secondary Education Teaching Certificate and Masters in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History were received from Northern Arizona University. In June of 2011 I got married to my wonderful wife Tina on the beautiful island of Santorini, Greece. We have two very fun dogs, a golden retriever who thinks he is in charge and an emotionally needy Giant Schnauzer which are extremely bonded to each other.
The 2021-2022 school year will be my twenty-eighth year in the Mesa Unified School District as an educator. I very much enjoy working with the wonderful Mt. View students and community. Go Toros! For the first 13 years of my career I was a Social Studies teacher at Westwood High School where I taught eight different courses over that span. I was presented with the Wal*Mart Teacher of the Year Award for the 2005 – 2006 school year. I was the Asst. Principal of Hendrix JH, which became Summit Academy, for a period of six years before becoming the Principal of Fremont JH for six school years. I really missed teaching at a high school and the positive relationships with students that are part of a healthy classroom learning environment so I decided to move back into the classroom. This is my third year back in the classroom and I truly love it. This year I teach five classes of U.S. Government, which is a required class for seniors. All necessary assignments can be found in their Canvas application. I am thoroughly enjoying being an active and supportive contributor to the success of my students of Toro Nation!
If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me. Our students’ success towards graduation and beyond takes a partnership to be most effective. E-mail is probably the most efficient way of communicating with me but I will return any phone calls that I receive as soon as I can. I am excited to make this another absolutely awesome year on the Campus of Champions! Go Toros!
